Frequently asked questions
Is there a minimum cut for fabric orders?
Our minimum cut is 0.25m (25cm) (sale items, swatches, fat quarters and luxury fabrics exempt). Fabric in our online shop is sold by the quarter metre (0.25 metres). So to order one metre of fabric for example, you would set the quantity to four in the shopping cart. We cut in continuous lengths so any order above 0.25m (25cm) (e.g. 1m, 1.25m, 1.5m, 2m etc. ) will be cut as a continuous piece from the fabric bolt. If you would like to view the fabrics that you’ve seen in our online shop, please visit our Geelong store or contact us.
Are the fabric colours shown online accurate?
The fabric colours represented in the photos may differ slightly from the actual product, all images are taken in natural light but their appearance on-screen can vary depending on the calibration of your computer monitor. If fabric colour is important, contact us via email or phone +61 03 5298 2208 before you make your purchase.
How wide is the fabric?
Most cotton quilting fabric is between 112-114cm wide, however some European produced fabric is wider at 150cm. You will find the width of each fabric with its description.
Do all fabrics weight the same?
Fabric weights may vary considerably. Lightweights are mostly used for clothing and quilting, medium and heavy weight fabrics are generally used for home décor. Fabric weights are given in each item description.
How can I tell the size of the motif?
Motif sizes are given on each item description. This will give an idea of the scaling and size of the motif print. Please refer individual product descriptions for actual motif size to determine if suitable for your project. We are here to help so please do not hesitate to phone or email if you require further details regarding motif size.
How is the fabric pricing determined?
Fabric descriptions list the price per metre in AUD$. Upon checkout all orders will be automatically calculated depending on chosen fabric lengths.
